A milestone again.......3 months old!! Where is the time going?? Our little Evelina is flying through the weeks almost as quickly as she is flying through diaper and clothes sizes! Haha! Last week I started sorting through her 0-3 month clothes.......sadly a lot of which were getting a little too small! So, as she turns this cornerstone into 3 months old, she is also quickly assuming the 3-6 month clothing in most of her drawers! It's so hard to pack away all those tiny little onesies!!
Daddy also got to celebrate his first Father's Day with Evelina! A family dinner at an outdoor restaurant with music and drinks was the perfect way to celebrate!!!
Well, this week is one that was definitely difficult. It was my first week back to work :( As much as I love my job as a Physician Assistant and love helping people.........the job I had being Evelina's little playmate as a stay-at-home mommy was the best job I've ever held! Monday was filled with tears for me as I figured she would be sleeping when I left but instead was wide-eyed (making it even harder for me to leave that smiling face). Throughout the day though I got a couple of videos and texts from her Aunt Misty who is watching her 2 days a week (the other 2 days is Grandma Mie-Mie) and that really helped! However, I had to re-do some eye make-up once I got to work because the commute in was pretty tearful!! But I made it through the week with Wednesday off to spend with her and I think every week will be a little easier! I kept a little brag book in my pocket to show off to anyone that asked....which was quite a few of my patients........ahhh what a cutie!
Another exciting event to us this week was the transition into the nursery and sleeping in the crib at night. We tried for the first time on Tuesday night (since I'm off on Wednesdays) and she slept about 11 hours waking up once to eat! We were so impressed!! Although I dont think either one of us slept that well!! Haha......I know Mike didn't fall asleep until about 1:30am and I woke up every half hour to check the video monitor and watch her sleeping! Every other night has gone just as well! It's so funny how she got herself into her own little schedule and is ready for bed at about 8pm every night and usually wide awake by 7:30am the next morning! It definitely has made life a little more normal getting some adult time before we go to sleep every night!
